Veterinarians
Dr. Patrick Paradis
is a native Oregonian. He grew up in the Woodburn area with
seven brothers and sisters. He graduated from Woodburn high school in 1972
and then attended Oregon State University, where he received degrees in
Zoology (BS 1976) and poultry science (MS 1977). In the Fall of 1978 he
entered the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University. He
received his degree in veterinary medicine in 1982.
After working in practices in Lakeview and Roseburg, Oregon (including
Wildlife Safari), he returned to Woodburn in the spring of 1984 and became
associated with the Woodburn Pet Hospital. He is now the owner of the
practice. his professional interests are small animal general medicine and
surgery, large animal medicine and surgery, exotic animal work, canine
dentistry and practice management.
Dr. Paradis resides in Woodburn with his wife Susan, and two sons,
Nicholas and Tyler, and their three cats (Van Gogh, Virginia, and JJ). he
enjoys hunting, fishing, gardening and is an avid sports fan.
On September 10, 1996 he and his wife Sue had twins. A boy named Kyle and
a girl named Lauren.
Sandra Statter, DVM, is a native
Oregonian who grew up in Tigard. She graduated from OSU in 1994. Her
husband is Gary Wickmire. Together they raise German Wirehaired pointers
and Bull Mastiff dogs for show and field trial. Their family consists of
five dogs. They have purchased a rural property and reside a few miles
outside Woodburn.
